The message is that even the stars get sick and this can get the stronger person for feel better.
Everyone is the audience just not small kids.

Bring an advertisement to class on Monday (from a magazine or online) that you think effectively sells "cool," "beauty," "freedom," "individuality," or whatever the American ideal is. Type up your answers to these questions: What is being sold? What's the message? Who is the audience? What is really being sold, besides the product? How or why? Where did you find the ad? (Name of magazine, etc.)
Great start to your class blog Alex. I think a lot of advertisements use celebrities to sell their products and sports stars seem to be at the top of that list. They seem to draw readers in and get their attention.
